Lynn and Jim

I have had the opportunity of working with Lynn and Jim for about 8 years, one project at a time. There was only one major area left – the two story high living room. A neighbor’s transition of a similar space into two rooms stacked one upon the other inspired this active family to do the same creating a media/family room on the main level with the kids’ retreat upstairs. After helping Lynn with trim and paint colors, I found a beautiful rug they liked and it became the starting point for the selection of fabrics and comfortable seating. Accessories were a combination of several pieces that Lynn had, family pictures and several carloads I brought in along with unique floor lamps and a fabulous coffee table I found. I arranged the accessories and their books in the bookcases and completed the room with a few finishing touches.

Elegant fabrics and warm neutrals combined to make this master bedroom a haven for this couple. The sofa provides them with a place to have occasional private moments with each child.

Each of the their children participated in selecting the fabrics and colors for their own rooms shown below and the results reflect their interests and their personalities.
